The US economy grew in the past quarter picking up the pace from the previous quarter. Unemployment continues to fall, with the headline rate ticking down to 3.8%. Workers’ earnings climbed to $1,096/week this month, though the long-term trend is negative. Rental vacancies continue to fall, with the national rate ticking down to 5.6%. Home ownership continues to rise, with the national rate climbing up to 66%. Home building applications continue to rise this month and quarterly housing prices continue to rise a further 3.4%.
